Originally from Torino in the north of Italy, I spent 20yrs in California and I am now blessed to have my son Marco here helping me both in the kitchen and helping me make this beautiful island our home.

Cooking is my passion, raised in Italy life revolved around not just food...but good food. There is no cutting corners when it comes to the kitchen, fresh local produce and homemade pasta and top quality imports, we Italians take pride in our food and this is no exception.

Hi Mauro! I had such a fabulous time with you when I was there late last August 2009! I was staying at the little blue house with Ross, Mary, and my sister Laura. You made us the most awesome meals I've ever had! Thanks so much for all the good times. I have a friend who is coming over to the island in March, and I told him all about you and Tahiti Nui. I told him to "drop" my name when he comes to eat at your restaurant. He is looking for a place to stay for about a month, and I was wondering if you or Lisa had any suggestions for him. We were in Kauai last June2009 when we renewed our wedding vows at the Wai'oli church and that night we ate at the Nui. Mauro made the most fantastic butternut squash ravoli in the world. We had such a special evening there and we will be returning July 3, 2010. Our first dinner will be at the Nui with two other couples and we can't wait to get back. Da Nui is one of our favorite places on the island. The food and people are fantastic. Last year we met Nemis and Paula from California. We had such a good time with them.
